• Description:
• As part of an existing transformation plan, the time, technical and economic requirements for converting the existing fossil fuel district heating supply of Stadtwerke Weimar GmbH into one that meets the legal requirements were met Heat supply developed through renewable energies. The processing was carried out in accordance with the guidelines of the federal funding for efficient heating networks (BEW). The transformation plan essentially includes determining the basis for the transformation of the District heating generation and is therefore based on the performance phase (LP) 1 of the HOAI. The client also has a concept study that evaluates and summarizes the approaches pursued for the new heat generation and storage. Hereafter this includes The following major components, which were subject to a rough design: o Sewage water extraction structure, approx. 500m3 o Heat pump system for sewage water/district heating, air/district heating approx. 2x approx. 17MW o Earth heat storage approx. 38 thousand m3, + approx. 158 thousand m3 o Solar thermal system, approx. 10,000m2 o Electric storage 15MW In addition to the named components of the concept study, the infrastructure to be planned for this is also listed with the following key data: o Heat routes - approx. 8.8 km o Technical building approx. 2000m2 usable space o EMSR fully The transformation of district heating should take place in 2 stages (expansion stage 1 by 2030, expansion stage 2 by 2035). This is necessary in order to be able to generate the legally required share of renewable energy within the specified time windows.
