  • The research activities of the Professorship for Laser-based Additive Manufacturing at the Technical University of Munich range from material development to automation solutions and quality control. This comprehensive approach helps to bring innovative technologies into the industrial environment, e.gu integrate. In order to address current research questions and challenges in the area of ​​laser sintering or powder bed-based melting of plastics using laser radiation (laser-based powder bed fusion of polymers, PBF-LB/P for short), a freely parameterizable PBF-LB is being developed /P-System purchased with additional features in the optics module, in the process chamber and in the control unit. This system will enable a better understanding of the process and the development of new powders and applications for PBF-LB/P, with the flexibility to conduct research along the entire PBF-LAdvance the B/P process chain. This PBF-LB/P platform will feature new measurement methods, adaptable core components in all system modules and the ability to implement new software-based solutions. The core of the system is based on an industry standard systemeren to facilitate the transfer of research to industry.
