Description: NRW.BANK emerged from the split of the former Westdeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale in 2002. For this reason, it has taken over a large number of the supply systems from Westdeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale (today's Portigon AG). In addition, the Westdeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale has legally transferred the obligation to pay retirement pensions and sickness allowances for a separate group of people.
Due to the existence of these numerous obligations, NRW.BANK needs corresponding actuarial reports for the individual obligations in order to prepare the annual financial statements in accordance with German commercial accounting principles. In addition, further actuarial evaluations must be prepared for planning purposes and for regulatory reasons. Furthermore, in the context of divorce cases, NRW.BANK has to have compensation values calculated for the family courts.
