Description:
The purchase of a powerful LC-MS/MS system (tandem quadrupol) is mandatory for the implementation of the new EU Communala Water Ordinance (short: Karl) and the trace material monitoring required therein. The aim is to ensure the safe and sensitive quantification of relevant micropolicants in municipal and industrial waste water-in particular in accordance with DIN EN ISO 21676: 2022-01, which prescribes a determination limit of ≤ 50 ng/l for selected medicines and industrial emissions in the waste water. With the new system, the continuous and standard monitoring of the twelve Priorities are ensured that are divided into two categories: Category 1: Amisulprid, Carbamazepin, Citalopram, Clarithromycin, Diclofenac, Hydrochlorothiazid, Metoprolol, Venlafaxin Category 2: Benzotriazol, Candesartan, Irbesartan and 5-methylbenzotriazole As a mixture because the requirements for water analysis continue to increase in the future and focus on additional substances (such as PfAs or transformation products through the 4th cleaning level), the procurement of a high-end mass spectrometer (tandem quadrupol) is the latest generation (from the most powerful device class of the manufacturer) in connection with a UPLC.
