The Bar Associations (RAKs) in Germany are corporations under public law and currently represent over 160,000 licensed lawyers. Its legal basis is the Federal Bar Code (BRAO). The chambers involved have different organizational structures, membership numbers and IT landscapes which underlines the need for a flexible and scalable solution. However, the various bar associations are essentially subject to the same legal requirements, which are primarily specified by the Federal Bar Association (BRAO).
