- In recent years, a cybersecurity laboratory has been set up at the German Center for Rail Transport Research (DZSF) at the Dresden location. This laboratory is used to carry out a wide variety of analyzes around the area of cybersecurity for rail transport. For example, it is used as a test, evaluation and development environment for cybersecurity solutions, as is as a platform for determining resistance installed security solutions as well as for safety and security validation using automatic tests. The long-term goal is to further develop cybersecurity solutions in rail transport. In addition to the cybersecurity laboratory, the DZSF also has a ETCS simulation laboratory that is a customer-specific development of the Clearsy Safety Solution Designer from Strasbourg. With this simulation laboratory, it is possible to examine the interaction of various components of the guiding and security technology (LST) with vehicles and rail infrastructure through complex simulated route trips.
