Description:
The ILM plans to purchase a scanning electron microscope (REM) with a high -resolution focused ion beam system. The system must also be equipped with TOF-SIMs, gas injection system (GIS), EDX and STEM functionality.Ilm plans to purchase a scanning electron microscope (REM) with a high -resolution focused ion beam system. Such a system consists of an electron beam column and a GA ion beam column in a vacuum chamber. The REM can be a electron microscope for the high -resolution illustrationboth leaders and non -leading samples. In addition, both columns (rem and fib) are arranged in such a way that the electron and ion beam cross at one point. In this so -called coincidence point, material can be removed from a sample using the ion beambe observed and controlled at the same time by the material removal. The system must also be equipped with TOF-SIMs, gas injection system (GIS), EDX and STEM functionality.
