Project & city management In 2022, the city of Monschau decided on an integrated urban development concept for the old town under the title “Future Concept Monschau Old Town 2030”. The historical building stock is classified as a monument area The protected old town forms its face and shapes its unmistakable appearance. Securing contemporary housing offers while at the same time preserving the local facades of listed, listed or city-defining buildings is the primary goal.
