Entega Wastwasserinigung GmbH & Co. KG has been running the two Darmstadt sewage treatment plants on behalf of the science city of Darmstadt since 1989. to build the targeted elimination of micropolas from mechanical-biologically treated wastewater. This 4th cleaning level results from the introduction of the treated wastewater into the water economy sensitive area of Hessian Rieds. The Hessian Ried is located in the south of Hesse between the Waters Rhine in the west, Hessischer Bergstrasse in the east, the city of Lampertheim in the south and the city of Ginsheim in the north and is of great importance for the water supply of the Rhine-Main area.
