Hamburger Energiewerke GmbH (HEnW) aims to establish an environmentally friendly and efficient heat supply in the areas around Hamburg Airport. To realize this project, the construction of a district heating connection approximately 4.66 kilometers long is planned, which is from an existing line in the Otto-Wels-Str. area. / Sydneystrasse to the main customers - Lufthansa Technik (LHT) and the airport. In addition, connection points are planned for other parts of the city in order to ensure densification in the coming years. A part of the The project is the construction of a district heating pumping station in the area of the Alster crossing, which will function as a pressure boosting station.
