Construct-X
Construct-X is a joint research and development project between around 40 partners from the trades, the construction industry, the software industry as well as research and development institutes and associations. Together, new digital and networked solutions for the construction industry and the trades will be developed to enable trusting and secure collaboration in planning and construction.
Construct-X is scheduled to run for three years and develops federated data rooms based on open source principles, a corresponding reference architecture and cloud edge applications for the construction sector. This also includes the development of technologies for the multi-provider cloud edge continuum, which provides a latency-free and will enable secure provision and processing of data on construction sites.
Construct-X is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) and the European Union and is part of the EU initiative IPCEI-CIS, Important Project of Common European Interest Next Generation Cloud Infrastructure and Services. Construct X is therefore part of the EU strategy to strengthen Europe's digital sovereignty.
Kubernetes clusters will be used for the development, testing and demonstration of the data room and corresponding applications.
