Oeffis Nahverkehr Hameln-Pyrmont GmbH intends to expand its depot at the Hameln-Afferde location (Hastenbecker Weg 92) in order to implement a future-oriented e-mobility strategy. The aim is to gradually convert the entire bus fleet of currently 70 vehicles Combustion engines on electric drives by 2035. For this purpose, a comprehensive e-charging infrastructure is to be created and the workshop area is to be adapted and expanded accordingly. Based on a district council resolution from 2023, the switch to electric buses is scheduled to begin in 2026. The The first expansion stage includes the installation of eight charging points for six e-buses. A total of 70 charging points are to be implemented by 2035. The structural measures serve to ensure sustainable and economically sensible infrastructure development. The project includes the following structural aspects and infrastructural measures: - Optional: Extension of the office wing (axes A-E): Expansion of the single-storey part of the building through a timber frame construction with a gross floor area of approx. 700 m2. - Conversion of existing workshop (axes K-L): Installation of a stationary work platform for the maintenance of electric buses static requirements. - New ELT workshop (axes K-L): Construction of a new hall with approx. 600 m2 gross floor area for the maintenance and repair of electric vehicles. - New roofing for bus parking spaces (axis L-O): Open roof construction for 15 bus parking spaces with storage area on the side.
