- For research purposes, the Friedrich-Schiller University Jena intends to buy a pulsed picosecond laser diode with a pulse repeat frequency in the MHZ range and an emission wavelength of 266 nm and the associated controller.
The picosecond laser diode should be used for the characterization of different quantum material systems. For this purpose, the specified wavelength in the ultraviolet spectral range is essential to ensure the required photon energy. In addition, picosecond pulses are required to achieve time resolution in the characterization measurements. In addition, a sufficiently high output power for the realization of a low signal-to-noise ratio is required, at the same time the pulse repeat frequency be variably adjustable to control the accumulated energy position in the sample.
