- Description:
- As part of the renewal of the Rahlstedt bus system and the future renovation of the Rahlstedt train station as part of the S-Bahn extension line S4, the existing tunnel structure will be expanded, converted and receives a new staircase, a new kiosk as well as technical and ancillary rooms and a new elevator and a new escalator from the tunnel level to the bus platform/street level.
At the time the elevator is installed, the newly built bus system will be in operation with passenger and bus operations from July 2026.
The installation location of the elevator with two stopping points is on the minus-1 level (pedestrian tunnel) and the 0 level (bus platform), which is covered.
