- Meaning of the building: The administration building of the city of Waldeck, the town hall of Sachsenhausen, was built in 1812 and is listed as a cultural monument. The plastered half -timbered construction is a cityscape -defining object. Previous use: The ground and upper floor are currently being used for administrative purposes.Meeting rooms and archives are housed in the attic. Desired use, planned construction work: There is an urgent need for the city of Waldeck on additional office space. At the same time, the building should be functional by setting up publicly usable roomsthe town center of Sachsenhausen are upgraded. By converting the attic into partly publicly usable premises a) for sessions of committees and b) for use by associations or social carriers, the importance of the building for the urban society should be strengthened. Feasibility study:In order to obtain reliable foundations for further advice and planning the planning of the town hall renovation, the city of Waldeck commissioned a feasibility study and developed in 2023/2024.
