RB Jungfernheide, new laboratory, VE 04 facade
The Berliner Wasserbetriebe (BWB) are planning the new building of several buildings at the Jungfernheide location in the Spandau district / district of Siemensstadt.
The planned new construction measures on the corner of Motardstrasse / Rohrdamm include 4-storey, lower cellar laboratory building and a single-storey supply building. A central laboratory is to be built at the Jungfernheide location, which summarizes the laboratories currently distributed decentrally in Berlin under one roof. The new building is of central importance for the Berliners Water operations. The central laboratory will carry out both the drinking water analysis for, among other things, the waterworks and the pipe network, as well as the wastewater analysis for the sewage treatment plants, the sewer network, analytics for the initial monitoring and the surrounding samples.
The new building is a reinforced concrete skeleton made of load -bearing Concrete concrete ceilings and supports as well as non -carrying outer walls designed in wooden frame construction. The Laboratory construction has a static grid of 3.60 m. The technology center is planned as a pure wooden structure with wooden supports and binders.
The supply building is with load -bearing masonry walls Planned on a WU floor plate and a roof controllation made of STB hollow planks, the facade as a 2-shell MW wall with a masonry.
