- The city of Filderstadt intends to build a new residential building with multiple uses in the Bernhausen district. The aim of this realization competition with an urban planning idea part is to develop a high-quality, economical and sustainable building ensemble that is tailored to the urban planning, answers functional and economic requirements in high quality. The residential building is intended to create urgently needed living space and also offer a multifunctional room for municipal events as well as possible gastronomic use. The building is intended to be centrally located Element in the future city structure and serve as a joint to the northern pedestrian zone. The focus is on the planning of the competition property with a total size of approx. 1,749 m2, divided into a realization part (approx. 1,149 m2) for the new building and an urban development part Idea part (approx. 600 m2) for integrating adjacent properties. The task includes the development of an overall concept that harmoniously integrates the different uses and ensures a high quality of stay. Aspects such as development, open spaces, sustainability and Economic efficiency must be taken into account as well as the sensitive urban development integration. The subject of the competition are services according to HOAI for the conception and planning of the new building with multiple uses as well as the urban development integration in the ideas section. The competition is considered to be single-stage, not Open implementation competition with a preliminary selection process was carried out. There are 25 participants planned, of which 6 will be pre-selected. The process is anonymous and based on the guidelines for planning competitions (RPW 2013). Natural and legal persons are eligible to participate: who are entitled to use the professional title of architect or landscape architect in accordance with the legal regulations of their country of origin.
