• Description:
• The Bad Salzig sewage treatment plant (KA) located in the Middle Rhine Valley, on the northern edge of Bad Salzig, was put into operation in 1987 using the wastewater treatment process with simultaneous sludge stabilization. The sewage treatment plant is included in the current permit notice an expansion size of 7,300 inhabitants. The wastewater treatment plant site has topographical heights between around 87 m and 80 m above sea level and slopes towards the northeast towards the Rhine. The railway line between Koblenz and Mainz runs directly below the sewage treatment plant and the federal highway B9. The parallel Rhine is about 50 m away. The railway line is at around 76 m above sea level, the average water level of the Rhine can be given as around 64.5 m above sea level.
