  • It is planned to renovate the second section of the retaining wall along Suicardusstrasse on the banks of the castle in Aschaffenurg (south section). The north section has already been completed. The retaining wall is a listed sandstone gravity wall. The length of the to be renovatedThe section is approx. 200 m. The wall height ranges from approx. 1m to 5.5m. The wall thickness varies and must be determined by core drilling. The service includes the replacement of defective stones (especially in the masonry crown), the cleaning and repointing of the wall, and the creation of Nistcaves and the creation of drainage openings. The wall must be anchored back with anchors. The anchor length varies from approx. 3m 15m. Furthermore, the absence of explosive ordnance must be proven by means of slanted drilling and, if necessary, explosive ordnance clearance. The execution is from September 4th, 2024until May 30, 2025.
