- Based on the experiences of the drought years 2018 to 2020 in connection with the forecasts of the German Weather Service (DWD) and the Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research GmbH (UFZ) as publisher of the drought monitor, for young trees with drought stress on anthropogenic urban soil locations up toFor the sustainable development of the necessary soil water capacities, supplementary irrigation will be indispensable in the future.
Based on the young tree register of the city of Essen, all young trees are to be watered up to 18 times if necessary after the growth guarantee has expired in the period from April to Septembern to provide a watering of 100 l per watering for each tree location.
