  The Hamburg train station was built in 1846/47 (architect Friedrich Neuhaus and Ferdinand Wilhelm Holz) and closed again in 1884.
  On September 14, 1906 the reception building was opened as a "royal building and traffic museum".
  From 1909 to 1911 the left wing (BT D) and between 1914 - 1916 the right wing (BT C) was grown.
  The components C and D of the Hamburg train station were renovated in the course of renovation measures to a museum for the present in 1986. In this way, the covering of the roofs of the connecting buildings of both components were probably also renewed.
  As part of the planned construction work, the roofs of component C and the connector are to be renovated. To do this, both parts of the building must be equipped and built over with a weather protection roof. Access to the roof surfaces is only possible from the outside, which is why the installation of conductors and the construction of stairs are required.
