- The control technology of the building automation at the Ernst Abbe University of Jena is based largely on DDC central units of the 3000 series from Kieback & Peter. These were discontinued on December 1st, 2017 and spare parts supply is no longer possible. Goal The measure is to replace the entire building automation on the campus in order to ensure the operational safety, energy efficiency and future viability of the system. DDC control panels of the 4000 series (Kieback & Peter) are already available in some areas. available. The future system architecture should be designed to be manufacturer-neutral, modular and expandable. The energy and building management system "Qanteon" is currently used for visualization and energy management and, as far as technical aspects are concerned, should be useful and can be reused. According to non-binding information from the current service provider for building automation maintenance, there are around 11,500 data points in the system. The engineering service to be provided includes the specialist planning Building automation according to HOAI ยง 55 service phases 1-9.
