- Renewal of the Ufw Karlsruhe cooling water system DB Energie GmbH is planning to replace the existing machine cooling system at the converter plant (Ufw) at its location in Karlsruhe, consisting of a pump group and two units with three evaporative coolers each new machine cooling system to replace. DB Energie GmbH operates the Ufw for traction current at its location at Lohwiesenweg 1 in 76135 Karlsruhe with the two rotating electrical converters UF E1 and UF E2. To supply the two converters with cooling water A separate unit with three evaporative coolers is installed for each converter at the Karlsruhe location. The evaporative coolers are piping connected in such a way that in an emergency each converter can be connected to each of the evaporative coolers can be supplied.
