• Description:
• The municipality of Dobel intends to comprehensively renovate the existing spa building and convert it into a modern administrative headquarters. The background to this is significant structural and technical deficiencies as well as insufficient spatial capacity in the current town hall. A needs analysis and a feasibility study by Weindel Architects confirmed both the feasibility and the necessity of the project. The local council then made a fundamental decision to implement the project in 2024. Goal The project is to develop an efficient, sustainable and barrier-free administrative location that bundles central administrative functions in the Kurhaus and at the same time enables a comprehensive modernization of the building. This includes the technical renovation, the renovation of the Kursaal including the toilet facilities and the kitchen as well as the establishment of a new tourist information center with direct access for citizens. The existing building condition requires a complete renovation of the entire building Building required.
