Description: The town hall of Artern was built in 1905/1906 in the neo-baroque style. In the years 1992/1993 renovation work was carried out in 2 construction phases. Taking into account the functional and spatial requirements of the building, an inventory and damage analysis was carried out as part of a planned overall renovation in 2007. Based on this analysis, partial services have already been implemented or new services will be added.
Overall, the building no longer meets today's requirements for a modern, contemporary administration building. With regard to the fabric of the building, parts of the wooden structures sometimes suffered significant structural damage (rot damage, etc.).
The listed building is therefore to be renovated. In this context, a barrier-free expansion in the form of a wheelchair-accessible elevator is also planned.
