- In the area of bank walls on the Main-Danube Canal (MDK), collapses were discovered on the service routes. The service routes run directly parallel to the bank walls. Significant damage has already occurred within the Nuremberg canal. Through Washing out in the backfill area of the bank walls sometimes formed cavities with a volume of over 1 m³. Due to the relatively high load-bearing capacity of the road surface (asphalt or mineral concrete), these hollow layers are only of limited use on the surface and too late recognizable. Furthermore, calculations on the stability of the existing bank walls have shown that the stability of some bank wall shapes is not guaranteed when taking into account the effects of bollard pull. These wall sections are protected by the Installation of micro grouted piles upgraded. The subject of this tender is the following measures (lot 2: bollard and wall anchoring; lot 3: civil engineering (drainage and road construction): - Subsequent anchoring of the bank wall slats in the area of the bollards and the Wall sections of the low bank wall form F - Renewal of the drainage behind the bank walls - Renewal of path paving and surface drainage The repair of the joint sealing, lot 1 is currently being carried out. The aim of repairing the Bank walls is the permanent restoration and guarantee of the load-bearing capacity of traffic routes, taking into account the existing local conditions (groundwater situation, existing bank wall construction, requirements of the shipping). Repair areas: The planned repair areas extend over part of the Nuremberg section. To repair the structural joints, the currently water-permeable joints are drilled over using core drilling permanently sealed with an elastomer hose pressed using cement mortar.
