Description:
DB InfraGO AG is planning to renew four existing mechanical signal boxes as ESTW-A in SIMIS-D design from the manufacturer Siemens Mobility GmbH. The Hoerlkofen, Thann-Matzbach, Schwindegg and Weidenbach signal boxes (now Heldenstein) will be integrated into the ESTW's proprietary signal box infrastructure. Centrale Dorfen is integrated with the Simis C design from Siemens Mobility GmbH. In addition, the signaling systems of several operating locations are being renewed or adapted. Furthermore, a new modular building will be built in Dorfen to serve route 5600. The signal boxes will be built as a 1:1 replacement in the following construction stagesatz newly built:
In construction stage 1, the Hoerlkofen and Thann-Matzbach signal box measures will be put into operation by the timetable change in 2026, i.e. in December 2025.
In construction stage 2, the upgrade of the ESTW headquarters in Dorfen and the Schwindegg and Weidenbach signal box measures will be put into operation by to the driving plan change in 2027, i.e. put into operation in December 2026.
The construction work for the 2nd construction stage is to be completed by December 2025.
Approximately 45 km of cable routing systems with approximately 100 track and road crossings will be newly built on the route. In addition, around 90 signal foundations will be built. Furthermore areto rebuild the outdoor facilities of the new modular buildings with cisterns, parking spaces, fire station areas and fences.
