In the underwater of the Hanekenfähr weir system there is a tail unit between Wehrfeld 1 and 2. This tail was built from steel using sheet piling. As an upper degree, the sheet pile walls received a concrete bar.
The tail unit (sheet piling) has a supporting function, which prevents the "rough channel", which follows after the solid weir back and KWL flap, does not fall into the drainage channel of the Wehrfeld 1.
Due to the determined defects in this tail, a replacement building is necessary.
