Description:
On board the surveying vehicles, the INS is primarily used for improved and uninterrupted position determination compared to GNSS positions and for the professional localization of measured water depths. Position data and other movement information (heading, roll, pitch, heave) are thereby fromINS made available to the various hydrographic measuring systems used on board (vertical sounder, multibeam echo sounder). The INS is coupled with an existing GNSS receiver in order to provide high-precision position data in the event of brief satellite or correction data signal losses, e.gu stellen.
