Description: Since 2008, when building new noise barriers, the wall elements, the posts and the foundation for the aerodynamic effects from train traffic have been measured on the basis of a proof of fatigue strength. The aim of the project is the development of a fatigue strength verification for the posts and the foundation of noise barriers in the existing structure, which were originally planned and built without taking structural dynamics and material fatigue into account, in order to be able to estimate a remaining useful life. The proof should be based on the regulations in DIN EN 1991-2 on the concept of operational freight trains and associated traffic compositions in accordance with DIN EN 1991-2, Appendix D and realistically map the dynamic behavior of the noise barriers and the different aerodynamic stimulation by the different operational freight trains .
