Description: The subject of the competition is the replacement of a multifunctional laboratory building (MFL) for animal sciences from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn at the Poppelsdorf campus. The building serves for various parts of the university, which are used both by the mathematical and scientific faculty and by the university agricultural faculty.
All institutes of the two faculties who are supposed to find their homeland here research in the broadest sense with/on animals. The range extends from invertebrate model organisms, fish and amphibians to farm animals, such as pigs and cows that are kept on a test material in the Rhein-Sieg district and of which only samples of various types are examined in the new construction of the MFL.
