Description:
The Institute for Space Systems focuses on innovative design methods, space technologies and space systems. The institute analyzes, explores and realizes innovative space systems, technologies and methods along the entire mission chain.
The testbed for robotic optical Navigation of the DLR Institute for Space Systems in Bremen is a laboratory in which the development and qualification of optical navigation systems is supported. The focus is on the generation of sensor data and highly precise reference data typical scenarios as they are in future Exploration missions are to be expected.
This robot system enables complex, dynamic movements and primarily serves the realistic positioning of optical sensors in space. The Robot is central to the simulation of approaching and state sequences as well as for the replica of realistic movement paths as expected in space missions. The system is supplemented by lighting units, laser measurement technology and real-time control, which means that tron hardware-in-the-loop tests made possible under space -like conditions.
The existing, obsolete robot system is to be replaced by a new system Optimized configuration parameters and improved usability. Further information is the service description to remove.
