G03.1 Roof work dismantling and new construction
On the site of the Leipzig Stadtwerke GmbH in Arno-Nitzsche-Strasse in Leipzig is planned to renovate hall 218/219. House 218 and 219 is part of the former gas plant on the area and part of a building ensemble, which consists of two similar indoor masonry buildings and a flat central building. It was built around 1890 in massive brick construction and is recorded in the monument list of the city of Leipzig.
Building 218 is a wall building made of masonry, which is is spanned in a binder construction. The functional building is constructed without support over its entire length and is stiffened using thick outer walls. The building is divided into three parts, the middle workshop area was perceptible as an open space, while the two side wings were two floors were divided small.
This condition has now changed due to the demolition work and start -up work, the hall is overall without installations, these are built back.
The buildings 218/219 are to be fundamentally renovated and converted into a canteen with kitchen and other rooms. This requires a new roof structure.
Before the roof repair, the elements must be reduced and stored for reuse. Number of elements existed = approx. 762 hours, laying planning and assembly ...
