- General building description 1.0 General object of the planning is the monument -friendly renovation and modernization, as well as the conversion of the Kornhaus in Kirchheim Unter Teck. The building is a large, elongated, four-storey solid building from 1540-53The city fire in 1690 was completely burned out the grain house inside. It was repaired again in 1696. A multi -storey self -striking wooden structure was implanted in the massive building envelope that stopped. The Kornhaus is completely lower cellar. The basement isTo a vaulted cellar impressive in its dimension and proportion. Over the course of its long history, the building served the Wuerttemberg house as a grain house and from 1851 the city of Kirchheim unter Teck as a grain market, gymnasium, warehouse, fire brigade magazine and finally only cultural purposes.The ground floor was used as an alternating exhibition space for contemporary art. The upper floors housed the city museum. In addition to the Martinskirche and the castle, it is the largest and therefore most significant construction volume in the center of the city. The total construction measure is in 2 construction phasesexecuted. In the 1st construction section, the Kornhaus is renovated, repaired and modernized from EC to DG. The first escape route, the East stairwell, and an elevator are led to the UG. This makes the complete functionality of the building from EG to DG until the end of the total measureguaranteed. In the 2nd construction phase, after the expansion of the combined heat and power plant of the vaulted cellar, freed from all remaining subsequent installations and the natural stone vault renovates all planned measure is adequately renovated to the monument protection of the historical building.
