Description:
Starting in 2024, the "Adaptation of the telecommunications and command and control systems of seagoing units (SATCOM ships)" project is intended to equip the five designated command ship classes of the Navy with transmitting and receiving systems for satellite communication in the bands X, Ku, possibly Ka, P &nd L.
The following ships are affected:
- four F123 frigates
- three F124 frigates
- six 404 tenders
- three EGV 702
- five K130 corvettes (1st lot)
The following work in particular is to be carried out:
- Replace X-band antennas on F123 and F124
- Ku-band and P-band systems complett replace
- Delivery of supplementary modems in X and Ku/Ka band
- Integration of new crypto modules (provided)
- Regenerate fighter control telephone on F124
- Integration of PLMN systems with 4G and 5G standard
All systems supplied are compatible with the on-board system connect and into the existing networks toointegrate. In doing so, the connection to the existing ship entry point has to be made, as well as the connection to the existing central transmission block on board.
A training facility is also to be set up at the MTS Parow. This must include the following systems:
- X-Band (BDE) (SCOT 6A and Indra TNX101, as well as waveguide switching matrix)
- X-Band (ADE) (antenna like on-board equipment)
- Ku/Ka-Band (system like on-board equipment)
- P-Band (integration hardware for encryption)
- Multi-band system (according to equipment F123)
- Modem according to on-board equipment
