Description:
The Federal Government's CSR Prize is an essential part of the Federal Government's CSR strategy and emphasizes good examples of socially responsible action by companies. It has been awarded four times since 2013, most recently in September 2020 under the patronage of Federal Minister Hubertus Heil.
Since the last allocation of the CSR Prize, new legal requirements, such as the Lie folding law duties law, have significantly increased the importance of the responsible company performance. Companies have to align their risk management and other processes in such a way that their supply chains do not violate human rights or damage the environment. With the EU Lief Chain Act (Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD)), a European regulation is expected to commit companies to identify, prioritize human rights and environmentally related risks in their value chain and to take appropriate prevention and remedial measures.
