- The strengthening of democracy, diversity and cosmopolitanism and the prevention of right-wing extremism, racism and other forms of group-related misanthropy is an integral part of the work of the state government of the state of Saxony-Anhalt. The state program for democracy, diversity andCosmopolitanism offers a proven framework for the broad commitment to democracy and against exclusion in Saxony-Anhalt. It has contributed to strengthening their backs to the many committed people in the country and visible to a plural society and their attacks on a plural societyto step towards.
According to the coalition agreement of the eighth legislative period, the state program for democracy, diversity and cosmopolitanism should be financially investigated as a cross -sectional project of the entire state government and further developed together with civil society.In order to reinforce the scientific practice, the scientific expertise of universities is being more involved.
According to these requirements of the coalition agreement, the realignment of the state program in a participatory work process with the participation of the department as wellcivil society actors carried out together. Mefacts and needs were determined as part of a nationwide democracy conference and incorporated into the new state program. With the further developed program, the country wants to form democracy and intercultural education inanchor the educational programs and curricula in daycare centers, school, training, studies as well as adult and further education. The stronger anchorage of democracy and diversity formation in the regular structures goes to a recommendation from the civil society program and aDefinition from the coalition agreement.
