Description:
As part of the cross-border Life project Crossborderbog, the reverse of the Aamsveen in the Netherlands and the bitch moor (Figure 1) is to be promoted on the Deut-Scher side. The province of Overijssel is the carrier of the project, while the implementation on the German side through the Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Transport North Rhine-Westphalia (Munv NRW), the Biological Station Zwillbrock e.V. and the Nature and Landscape of Westmuensterland. The German project area is part of the Natura 2000 area "Office Venn and Buendfelder Moor". To the central Measures include the system of insenses, the elimination of trees and lifting the groundwater level below the bog.
