Description:
The State Office for Security in Information Technology is the IT security authority of the Free State of Bavaria. In addition to the active protection of state IT systems, the advice of municipalities, public companies as operators of critical infrastructures and the state administration itself also includesOn the tasks of the LSI.
In order to be able to fulfill this order, a security information and event management system (SiEM) of the type Qradar (manufacturer: IBM) is used.And event volume (several 10,000 EPS and several 100,000 FPM) is licensed, the LSI uses a test system that only has to process a relatively small volume of log and flow data.
All parts of the two SIEM systems are operated on-premise as virtual machines. The systems should toowill continue to be operated in this form in the future. The associated support positions were also obtained for all positions procured, so that both the productive and the test system are fully supported by the manufacturer. All support agreements are synchronized in the termand end on September 30, 2025. In this respect, support services must be provided - from the result of this award procedure - without interruption from October 1st, 2025.
