Partial construction measure 03- Zellescher Weg office center (BZW)
Classification of the partial construction project
In order to ensure the construction work of conversion and renovation of the SLUB Central Library, storage areas must be built.
Parts of the storage space will be in the existing Zellescher office building, which was built between 1992 and 1994 Route 17 (BZW) provided.
The partial construction measure 03 in the BZW in the:
DrePunct library in the Zellescher Weg 17- BZW office center in 01069 Dresden
includes 2 construction areas:
1. On the base floor (SG) the reading hall, the foyer and the logistics area in the connector
2. In the basement 02 (U2). Interim freehand area
The subject of the planning is the creation of reading spaces in the reading hall for interim use, the takeover of the main location functions of the Central Library (ZB) opposite in the foyer and the management of media logistics between the interim locations during the Renovation of the ZB.
In addition, to compensate for the loss of previously used shelves on the basement floor (SG) in the DrePunct library, to create construction freedom in the SG and to accommodate removals from the central library, an interim free access area will be created in the 2nd basement floor (U2) with a Floor area of approx. 5,000 m2 planned.
The renovation work begins on the second basement floor and continues on the basement floor.
