The Free State of Bavaria, represented by the state building authority Erlangen - Nuremberg, intends to build another research building, the so-called C, on the north campus of the Erlangen University HospitalARE-MED (TRCIII) on the construction site between the existing buildings Translational Research Center (TRC I) in the east, the Center of Personalized Medicine and Research (CESAR/ TRC IV) in the west, and the former sanatorium and nursing home (HuPflA) in the south and the Citable (TRCII) in the southeast. The new building of theTRC III is intended to complete the research campus. The structures of TRC I, TRC III and TRC IV are to be connected to each other in an east-west direction via connecting bridges.
