Description:
The flood action plan (HWAP 2007) shows a clear need for action in the Inde and Vicht catchment areas. The construction of two flood retention basins (HRB) in Rott and Mulartshuette is intended to protect the town of Stolberg in particular and the other towns along the Vicht in the future become. The protection goal is a 100-year flood event. The Eifel-Rur Water Association (WVER) submitted the planning documents for the plan approval process in January 2023; The planning approval decisions are available for both basins.
