• Description:
• 1. General description: The structural investigation at the Scheidt and Cramberg locks on the Lahn is carried out in advance of a planned replacement construction of the weir systems. The aim is to determine the current structural condition of the existing lock structures, to assess their sustainability and suitability for reinforcement measures. 2. Type of construction service: The construction service includes non-destructive and destructive testing methods for examining the building structure as well as accompanying static calculations and analyses. The Work will be carried out taking into account the existing water flow and operating conditions of the locks. 3. Scope of construction work: - Documentation and inventory - Visual inspection and photographic recording of the current condition - Record existing ones Construction plans and historical documentation - Materials engineering investigations - Removal of drill cores from concrete and masonry areas - Determination of concrete compressive strength according to DIN EN 12504-1 - Check for possible damage Alkali-silica reaction (AKR) - Static investigations and load-bearing capacity assessment - Determination of the existing carrying reserves - Testing the structural integrity of the lock structures - Calculation of the load changes as a result of the storage reallocation - Rating the possibilities for improvement through reinforcement measures - Exploration of the subsoil conditions - Execution of exploratory drillings in the immediate building area (here additional offer area) - Laboratory tests on soil and foundation conditions - Analysis of settlement and deformation properties Special requirements - The work must be carried out taking current lock operations into account. - All measures are taken to avoid environmental damage and interference with the environment to meet aquatic ecology. - Coordination with the responsible authorities is mandatory. ...
