• Description:
• The municipality of Dobel intends to comprehensively renovate the existing spa building and convert it into a modern administrative headquarters. The background to this is significant structural and technical deficiencies as well as insufficient spatial capacities in the current one City hall. A needs analysis and a feasibility study by Weindel Architects confirmed both the feasibility and the necessity of the project. The local council then made a fundamental decision in 2024 to implement the project. The aim of the project is to develop an efficient, sustainable and barrier-free administrative location that bundles central administrative functions in the spa building and at the same time enables comprehensive modernization of the building. This includes the technical renovation, the renovation of the Kursaal including the toilet facilities and the kitchen as well as the establishment of a new tourist information center with direct access for citizens. The existing building condition requires a core renovation of the entire building is required.
