- Against the background of the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions with climate neutrality by 2045 and the shortage of global oil supplies with concomitant reduction in energy security and energy resources, it is essential for the scheduling of future energy supply concepts of the resources of the Bundeswehr, even self-generated renewable energies as an important element to include in an overall concept. In addition to the accessible CO2 savings, the energy supply security and audacity anchored in the conception of the Bundeswehr (KDB) is also a significant aspect of further planning.
The Bundeswehr currently uses about 1600 properties of a wide variety of size, design and location. Of these, due to their specific properties, about 230 selected properties for the present study should be considered. These can be used in a variety of generation of renewable energies.
