  • Wismut GmbH operates a central oil heating system with a maximum output of 920 kW at the Hartenstein (Talstrasse 7, 08118 Hartenstein) location. The system has a current annual heat requirement of approx. 1.3 GWh.
    The flooded, 1,090 m deep round shaft is located directly at the location 371 with a clear profile of 38.46 m2 and a starting point at 355 m NN. It has three connections (in the sole levels -540 m, -990 m and -1.080 m) to the extensive pit field with approx. 36 million m³ flood space. In the shaft, contaminated flooding water circulates with a temperature of 27 - 28 C and a medium -sized level between 300 m and 305 m nn. In exceptional cases, the intimate level can achieve a maximum of up to 316 m NN and a minimum of 286 m. The shaft is kept with a daily seal that has three monitoring openings (pipe tours).
    Furthermore The water treatment plant (WBA) Schlema-Alberoda is located at 800 m away. Here the flooding water is treated with underwater pumps using a lime fitting. The system is driven in the continuous regime, but must be used for maintenance and Maintenance measures are taken out of operation. The average throughput of the system is 500 m³/h. The treated water is cut into the Zwickauer Mulde via a water flower (derivation tunnel) in free drain. The water temperature is approx. 20 - 22 C in winter and ...
