Description:
The advertised project to improve the framework conditions for municipal volunteer work with regard to gender equality and family friendliness is intended to provide targeted support to municipalities, in particular municipal elected officials and functionaries as well as municipal committees (main target group). in order to systematically improve the cultural, structural and formal framework conditions for women to get involved in local politics in their areas of responsibility. The services to be promoted by the project should in particular focus on all those listed in Articles 1 to 4 of the "European Charter for Equality between Women and Men at Local Level". So it's not just about the exercise of electoral mandates in local political committees in the narrower sense, but also about other forms of local political commitment and participation.
