- From 2026 onwards, the Munich public utility company will be building a geothermal energy plant with a heating station building on the site of the Michaelibad outdoor swimming pool, scheduled for completion in 2034. Size of the building site approx. 18,000m2, divided into 2 construction areas: (drilling site (south) and heating station (north)). The entire area is through the AG has been enclosed with a wooden construction fence system, which serves as a noise and privacy fence.
