TK has currently integrated a symptom checker (SC) for checking symptoms as an independent service in its company-owned TK-Doc app and would like to continue to offer a symptom checker within the TK-Doc app in the future. For this purpose, a document provided by the contractor that is already on the market should be usedAvailable software based on medical data, algorithms and artificial intelligence determine possible medical causes and diseases for health complaints and symptoms. Users of the SC are the TK's insured persons.

-The SC must have ehave a valid CE marking. The SC must currently have at least one "medical device" within the meaning of Class I according to Directive 93/42/EEC (= Medical Devices Directive - MDD) or according to Class I according to Annex VIII of Directive (EU) 2017/745 on medical devices (= Medical Device Regulation/ "MDR"). The TK also requires that the SC offered by the contractor will be certified as a Class IIa MDR medical device in the future. It is therefore necessary that certification for Class IIa MDR has at least been initiated by the responsible body. -Quantities: In 2023 there were 28,500 sessions completed.
