The vehicle replaces a TLF 24/50 from the year 1995.
The application-tactical concept provides that the vehicle is primarily used on commercial sites with critical water supply. These include both inner city areas and vegetation fires in the terrain as well as operations on roads outside the city area. Accordingly, the operating tactical priorities are on the extinguishing water supply as well as on providing special extinguishing agents (foam). The fire brigade load is largely based on the standard and is supplemented by equipment according to local matters.
